Launch of new Programme and Call for Proposals for ESF Research Conferences

  • A new Research Networking Programme has just been launched: TransEurope Research Network (TRANSEUROPE) will study the impact of transnationalisation on life course inequality within selected European nations. Transnationalisation refers to the �Europeanisation� of different national markets and domestic structures. As the barriers of international borders become less significant, Europe develops as a whole and member states must adapt. Read more here or visit the Programme homepage:

    Call for proposals: the European Science Foundation (ESF) Research Conferences Scheme is a high-level conference programme in partnership with national and international organisations, including universities. The Scheme provides the opportunity for the world�s leading scientists and other participants, including young researchers, to meet in an informal setting for discussions at the highest level on the most recent developments in their fields of research. Conferences may be single events or series and will be interdisciplinary when appropriate. The duration will normally be four or five days and up to 150 invited speakers and participants may attend. The deadline for on-line submission of proposals for conferences to be held in 2008 is 2 October 2006 (midnight CET).
