ERC Open Calls
European Research Council (ERC) funding schemes are open to top researchers of any nationality or age who wish to carry out their frontier research in the 27 EU Member States or associated countries.
There are two ERC core funding schemes (Starting Grants and Advanced Grants). Two additional schemes have been launched in 2011 (Synergy Grants and Proof of Concept).
EU PRIZE for Women Innovators: The contest is on!
The European Commission is launching a contest to reward three women who have achieved outstanding innovations and brought them to marke.
The new EU Prize for Women Innovators aims to raise public awareness on the need for more innovation and more women entrepreneurs.
EUREKA PRO-FACTORY-PLUS: Sustainable Manufacturing Matchmaking event 2011
Sustainable Manufacturing Matchmaking event 2011 will be held in Donostia – San Sebastian (Spain) on 7th October 2011 in the frame of EUREKA PRO-FACTORY-PLUS programme. It will be organised by Tecnalia Research & Innovation and Bantec Group with the support of the Spanish EUREKA Office at CDTI, Spanish Innovation financing Agency.
New funding for early-career top researchers from anywhere in the world: "ERC Starting Grant"
The European Research Council (ERC) open on 20 of July its fifth call for proposals for the "ERC Starting Grants", targeted at early-career top researchers of any nationality, working - or moving to work - in host institutions in Europe. Open to all fields of research, including Social Sciences and Humanities, it will help emerging talent to pursue innovative ideas at the frontiers of knowledge. The total budget for this call amounts to €730 million, which is an increase of just over 10% from last year. The call will fund 500 to 600 talented researchers.

In cadrul Acordului de cooperare stiintifica si tehnologica intre Ministerul Educatiei, Cercetarii, Tineretului si Sportului din Romania si Ministerul Stiintei, Tehnologiei si Inovarii din Republica Argentina, semnat la 10 iunie 2011, se lanseaza apelul de Expresii de Interes adresat comunitatii stiintifice romanesti din institutii publice sau private pentru exprimarea interesului de colaborare cu colective de cercetare din domeniul public sau privat din Argentina.
