The Dr Edouard Delcroix Prize is an international triennial scientific prize which will be awarded to a researcher or a research team for an original scientific study on the links between oceans and human health.

The European Commission has launched the 2^nd edition of the EU Women Innovators Prize. It will reward three women who have achieved outstanding innovations and brought them to market. The first prize is worth EUR 100 000, the second prize EUR 50 000 and third prize EUR 25 000.

Project Summary

The new International Fellowship Mobility Programme for Experienced Researchers in Croatia – NEWFELPRO is a fellowship programme of the Government of the Republic of Croatia and the Ministry of Science, Education and Sport (MSES). The project is co-financed through the Marie Curie FP7-PEOPLE-2011-COFUND program. Its total value is 7 million euros, out of which 60% is financed from national sources. Project duration is from 2013 until 2017.

A conference entitled The Prospects of Brain Research within Horizon 2020: responding efficiently to Europe's societal needs will be held on 30 May 2013 in Brussels, Belgium.

On 3 June, YEAR (Young European Associated Researchers) is organizing a workshop for young researchers in Trondheim (SINTEF venue). Researchers from all over Europe will gather to follow an education program on writing successful proposals (in the morning) and to attend a workshop on innovative project ideas (in the afternoon). 

Romanian – American Foundation (RAF) anuta deschiderea apelului de proiecte Proof of Concept (POC) in domeniul cercetarii aplicate  - Applied Research, Technological Innovation and Entrepreneurship (ARTIE – POC).
La inceputul acestui an, RAF a lansat ARTIE, o noua directie strategica care are ca scop sprijinirea cercetatorilor in diferite stagii ale transformarii inventiei in inovatie, din laborator in piata produselor si serviciilor.

The 2013 edition of the 3^rd Practical Summer Course: Modeling for Systems Biology  is a joint initiative between the CRG and SystemsX.ch and will be supported by the new European network ERASysAPP. It will take place from Sunday June 9th till Friday June 14th, 2013 at the PRBB in Barcelona.

Considerand implicarea femeilor in cercetarea stiintifica un factor cheie pentru progresul economic, social si cultural, Comisia Nationala a Romaniei pentru UNESCO si L’ORÉAL Romania, impreuna cu Academia Romana si Autoritatea Nationala pentru Cercetare Stiintifica (ANCS) au lansat cea de a treia editie a programului de burse nationale UNESCO – L’Oréal „Pentru femeile din stiinta”, incurajand implicarea si sustinerea dezvoltarii profesionale a femeilor in domeniul stiintei.
